Mit der Ausstellungsserie artstripe verfügt Accenture über ein großformatiges Schaufenster, das sowohl die Innovationsfreudigkeit der österreichischen Gegenwartskunst als auch die des eigenen Unternehmens unübersehbar vor Augen führt.

Beim artstripe handelt es sich um einen fast 40 Meter langen und 2,5 Meter hohen Bildträger im zentralen Arbeitsraum des Büros, der jährlich mit einer neuen, speziell für diesen Ort, dieses Format und diesen Kontext beauftragten künstlerischen Gestaltung bespielt wird. Die Auswahl der Künstler erfolgt in einem zweistufigen Verfahren, an dem auch Mitarbeiter von Accenture maßgeblich beteiligt sind. Durchaus in Übereinstimmung mit der Unternehmensphilosophie liegt der Schwerpunkt bei Vertretern der jüngeren Künstlergeneration, denen besonders innovative Gestaltungen zugetraut werden.

Das klar definierte, digital produzierte Großformat bietet ein vorzügliches Experimentierfeld, um unterschiedliche gestalterische Disziplinen und inhaltliche Ansätze zu präsentieren und sie gleichzeitig untereinander vergleichbar zu machen.

Mit seiner klaren und offenen Struktur trägt dieses Konzept nicht nur der Dynamik von Gegenwartskunst und visueller Kultur Rechnung, sondern entspricht auch dem Selbstverständnis von Accenture als einem Unternehmen, das selbst laufend in Veränderung begriffen ist und sich dabei immer wieder neu erfindet. Gleichzeitig signalisieren die bisher elf realisierten artstripes nicht nur eine ungewöhnliche Konstanz im kulturellen Engagement von Accenture, sondern auch wie sehr dieses Projekt Teil der Identität des Wiener Büros geworden ist und zu seiner Unverwechselbarkeit beiträgt.

The artstripe series provides Accenture with a highly visible, large-format showcase for the innovativeness of both contemporary Austrian art and the company itself.

artstripe is a display space in the central working space of the office measuring 2.5 metres in height and almost 40 metres in length which is occupied each year by a new artistic work specially commissioned for this location, format and context. Artists are selected in a two-phase process in which the Accenture’s employees are heavily involved. The focus on selecting younger artists who can be relied upon to produce particularly innovative works is fully in keeping with the philosophy of the company.

The clearly defined and digitally produced large format offers an exemplary field for experimentation upon which diverse creative approaches and notions of content can be presented and, hence, compared.

With its clear and open structure, the concept not only accommodates the dynamic of contemporary art and visual culture but also reflects Accenture’s self-image as a company which is constantly changing and rediscovering itself. At the same time, the eleven artstripes which have been realised to date demonstrate not only the untypical consistency of Accenture’s commitment to culture but also the extent to which this project has become a part of the very identity and distinctiveness of the company’s Vienna offices.
